Thank you to all the parents, carers and families who bought books from the school book fair this week. Also. Well done to the many children across KS1 and KS2 who received a free book as a result of their regular reading at home. 🌟🌟📘📘
For World Book Day, we focussed on ‘Reading for Pleasure’. This means, we looked at a range of reading activities that promoted enjoyment. This included activities such as reading riddles, jokes, comics, play scripts, clues and much more. Here are just a few examples of the tasks that the children carried out.
At Heygreen, we are continually striving to enhance and enrich the curriculum with meaningful and worthwhile opportunities. To ensure the children are getting the most out of these activities, we regularly conduct pupil voice evaluations so that we can assess the impact of our provision. After our Author Visits, we carried out pupil questionnaires to ascertain their impact on the pupils and learning.
